Top 3 best free CRM tools for small businesses in 2020

The best free CRM for small businesses

There are many CRM packages available, each with its own suite of features and a generally hefty price tag to match. We’ve gathered some of the best free CRM tools in 2020 to show you don’t have to spend a lot (or anything at all) to get top quality CRM tools for your business.

Hubspot CRM

Hubspot is a mature and well-known name in the CRM market and for good reason. It’s available on all devices and it’s also easy to set up. Simply connect your Gmail account and then use a Chrome extension to have all your emails automatically feed into it.

Hubspot is available absolutely free with unlimited users and up to a million contacts, which for the vast majority of small businesses will be more than comfortable enough. If you wish, you can opt to pay for different service packages in order to add additional tools and functionality.

Bitrix24

Bitrix24 is an all-in-one business software suite. It features internal communication tools, task and project management, CRM, customer support and website builder all in one for free. Free accounts can have unlimited users, but are limited in the feature set for each of the different software tools offered and restrict the amount of online storage.

It’s a huge feature set at a price that’s hard to beat, but you can’t choose to only use or upgrade individual tools. If you choose Bitrix24 for your CRM, you will likely have to move all your business operations onto their platform.

SuiteCRM

SuiteCRM is an open-source CRM tool that gives you complete control over it. As it is open-source, the code is entirely free to use and customise as you see fit. This means you have open access to absolutely all the functionality SuiteCRM has to offer and can run it on your own servers. Your developers can also tweak the code as you see fit in order to customise it to your liking.

A disadvantage to hosting your CRM yourself is that you are responsible for maintaining the servers it runs on and making sure you stay updated and using the latest versions. SuiteCRM does offer a hosted SaaS version called SuiteCRM: OnDemand that takes care of this complexity for you, but it is not a free service. It is easy to transition if future growth requires.
