How to make a Facebook post shareable?

One of the best platforms to connect with friends is, hands down, Facebook. You can upload pictures, tag your friends, put up locations, join groups, market your business, and do many more things!

Facebook has millions of users, and some of those users tend to create informative posts. If you have ever created a great post, you must have received a comment or two below the post requesting to make it ‘public.’ And why wouldn’t you want to share a good post with others? Facebook is the best place to receive attention from people all over the world.

When the post is set on ‘public,’ it means the post is shareable by anyone who comes across the post.

The post doesn’t necessarily have to be informative; it can be a funny post or a video, or about some good causes that require donations.

Steps to allow your post to be shared on Facebook through your computer or laptop browser

  1. Open Facebook on your browser and go on your profile page.
  2. Go on the post which you want to make shareable.
  3. Move your cursor to the three dots on the top right corner of the post. Click on it.
  4. A small pop-up menu will appear. Click on ‘Edit Post.’
  5. Move your cursor to the bottom of the post, where the audience button (2 figures) is. Click on it for the drop-down menu.
  6. Edit the audience settings to ‘public.’
  7. Click ‘Save.’

You can follow the same steps when using the Facebook application on your mobile device or iPad/tablet.

To avoid doing this later, you can also change the setting to ‘public’ while creating the post.

Steps to make your post shareable while creating it

  1. Open Facebook on the browser or application.
  2. Create a post.
  3. Move your cursor to the audience button (2 people). Click on it.
  4. Edit the audience settings to ‘public.’
  5. Move the cursor to the ‘Publish’ button. Click on it.
